gay marriages legalised and norway massacre

Just had many thoughts on the recent news on the New York gay marriages legalisation and the Norway massacre that killed 93 and left many injured in all aspects.

Every time i read the news I'm always reminded strongly on the severity of evil in the world and that my life has been indeed a safe and blessed one. But there is so much going on in the rest of the world that frightens me in this safe bedroom of mine.

How much people warped from their sin, have normalised evil. The mass murderer said his deed was evil but necessary. I mean 'what is going on in his mind?' we all question. This is not normal at all, people say he is mentally insane. But really, in about 20 years time with this same steady disintegration of righteousness in people, this might just be a standard of 'sanity' that we find in the world.

I feel that it is very sad how many people twist God's word to rationalize their sin as acceptable; ignoring God's blatant statements of hatred for those sins. I so afraid that i am guilty of it too..I dont want God's word to be read and interpreted to fulfil my own lust as many do and have covered the truth with sin; for self justification. Like gay marriages, I mean it is stated clearly!

just read Romans 1:18-32. And they say it is just cultural? The ideal marriage workframe ( it was very good!) in Adam and Eve and between all those men and women are only applicable to their times? and they argue how times are different now, like how polygamy is frowned upon and we no longer need to fulfil family lineage by marrying our dead husband's relatives. Polygamy had always ended up with jealous wives, cursed offsprings, it was frowned upon even at those times. And even then, it was between female and male.

I'm just scared that i myself may take God's word, say it was cultural and doesnt apply to modern times and say no to many of God's commands for the people of Israel at that time.

Im not an israelite i can argue, times have changed. But no. Yesterday, Today, Forever, God is the same. Jesus Christ has been things different for us now, indeed. We are to repent. You dont see God coming down and speaking to us through a burning bush or angels, that doesnt mean God has changed or that he doesnt like angels to do so, that times have changed, that God has changed his standards? No! He doesnt everything according to the times in his method but He is still the same God we ought to honor.

I dont know about how i would end this, i dont think i have properly sorted out my thoughts or done enough study in His word but when i do i will update this post :)
